"A man convinced against his will. Is of the same opinion still."

Every leader knows that no matter how great the vision and carefully crafted the strategy, nothing great can be achieved without a fully committed and highly-motivated team.

In this video I look at the three questions that anybody needs to have answered satisfactorily to be able to fully commit their time and energy to a project.

If you can help people to answer these three questions positively, they will be better able to commit:

  • What is the goal?
  • What is my role in all of this?
  • How will it benefit me and enhance my life (soul)?

Whether it's a small change project or the transformation of an entire organisation, the only way to get buy-in from your team members is to give them reasons to believe in the vision and the plan. Motivation (getting buy-in) happens on a team and individual basis. The way you communicate the vision is the key to this and must meet the aspirations of each member and the group as a whole.
